Vegan Soy "Chicken" Korma
Duration: 20 min whole dish
Money: 3,00€ per person (for 4 portions)
Ingredients:
For the Sauce:
- 300g vegan soy chicken (you can use soy Schnitzel in vegetable broth)
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 4 tea spoons Currypaste
- 1/2 package tomato paste
- 1 big white onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 thumb of ginger
- 1 tea spoon clove powder
- 2 tea spoons salt
- 1 tea spoon pepper
- 2 tea spoons turmeric
- 2 tea spoons cumin
- a few almonds (cut small and roasted –> for decoration later)
as a side dish:
- basmati rice for 4 persons
for the Naans (oriental bread):
- 300g of flour
- a pinch of salt
- olive oil
- small pieces of garlic
- sunflower oil (for cooking)
How to:
Step 1: Put the garlic and the onion into a pan with olive oil, and let the flavours expand into the oil for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 2: Then add all other ingredients of the sauce and let it cook on low flame for 15 min.
Step 3: In the meanwhile prepare the rice and let it cook.
Step 4: While everything is cooking you can start preparing the Naans. Add all Naan ingredients together (except the sunflower oil) and roll the dough flat out. Put them into a frying pan with sunflower oil and fry them on both sides until they are golden.
Step 5: When everything is ready you can decorate the dish with fresh coriander!

Tips:
If you don't have one of the spices, just skip them. :) It will taste good anyways. But adding all spices means adding flavours which in the end adds more richness to the dish.
